It’s a long story…
I got my start doing corrals when I was pretty young. My father was a ranch hand in the Sandhills of Nebraska, so I grew up on some pretty remote ranches in Nebraska. When I was about 10 or 11, he started a very small manufacturing shop that branched out into construction work building corrals for bison ranches. The business grew from there and has led me on many adventures. We built corrals in 20 states in the USA at over a hundred locations.
In about 2009, I began using the program SketchUp to make easy to understand drawings for our customers. It was a big hit with customers and I enjoyed doing it. I had an opportunity to travel to Kazakhstan in 2011 to help with some ranches that were starting up. I ended up staying for 4 years solid. I met my future wife while working there, and after a couple years back in the states, I settled down in St, Petersburg, Russia.
I had done some consulting on corral design in while I was building, but it was always as part of my own construction projects. When I moved overseas, I needed a way to make a living, so I started Aurochs Consulting to offer my design services to customers all over the world.
